Baby Whaddaya Say We Just Get Lost...

I'm ready for an adventure. Disneyland anyone? The beach? The snow? Heads-Carolina, Tails-California... In the famous words of Jo Dee Messina, "I'm gonna get outta here if i gotta ride a grey hound bus..." I suggest everyone gets out for a day or so, just to have an adventure out of the norm. Do something crazy and fantastic! I dare you :)

It Never Fails To Amaze Me...

This last week has been an awesome experience for me as well as everyone in my family. My brother and sister-in-law, Jerret and Tara, had their second baby boy, Diesel Jex John. :) All I can say is that the gift of life fascinates me more and more. The day started out early, I stayed the night at their house to babysit Harmon, their oldest boy, while they went to the hospital to prepare for the birth. By 9:15 AM on October 10, 2008, we had a new member in the family! He was a little smaller than Harm was, weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces and 19 inches long. I had the amazing opportunity to help take care of him in the hospital later that day, and I will never forget it. Its scary, the power we have over something so precious as life. I realized then and there, that it truly is beautiful. It is these moments that make going through the "rough times" in life absolutely worth it. I'm so excited for the new addition! I already love him and I don't even know him yet :)

Robert Cromeans!

Robert Cromeans has officially announced the building of another of his salons in the Phoenix area coming in 2009! This is big news to anyone graduating from Paul Mitchell The School Phoenix, because not only does it offer us a chance to assist under one of the best in the business, but we can also get our foot in the door at one of the most productive and well known salons on the west coast! And right at our front door no less! What a way to start off, huh?! It's so exciting! Hopefully I will graduate and be able to apply for an apprenticeship soon after it opens! Wish me luck!

First Official "Blog" :)

So this is my first official post. Everyone in my family seems to be getting one as well as my friends, so I thought I might as well jump on the band wagon. Things around here have been pretty fast paced lately, I started school, we moved the company's location in about two weeks, and Tara is about to have her second baby. (Yay!)

School is wonderful! I am attending Paul Mitchell The School Phoenix and absolutely love it! It has given me a great direction and room to grow in so many ways! The owners are amazing, Scott, Linda, and Mike are all so great in their own ways. I didn't think I would honestly like going to beauty school, and feared the overhaul of estrogen that was awaiting me, but it hasn't been too bad yet. Sure, there are days that I wish I could play hooky and lay in bed instead of driving an hour each way and spending 8 hours working on my mannequin, but hey, thats life i guess :) The support system and program is pretty much the most amazing thing ever. I'm so glad I chose to do this, and thank my lucky stars that I am able to do it at this time in my life.
